Gerrards Bullion: a 128-page e-commerce rebuild

The client

Gerrards (Precious Metals) Ltd is one of London’s most established precious metals dealers, buying and selling gold, silver, platinum, and palladium for private investors and industrial clients.

The problem

The existing WooCommerce site was built on a heavyweight page builder. It had grown slow and fragile, small content changes were risky, and the codebase fought every improvement. For a business whose product prices move with the metals markets minute by minute, the site needed to be fast, reliable, and easy to keep accurate.

What we built

• A full rebuild on a custom, hand-coded WordPress theme: 128 pages of products, guides, and service content migrated and restructured
• Live precious metals pricing across all four metals, driving product prices from real-time market rates
• Buy and sell flows through WooCommerce, including the sell-to-us journey with postal forms and quotes
• Identity verification integrated into checkout for regulatory compliance, so high-value trades meet know-your-customer requirements without manual paperwork
• Content editing tooling so the Gerrards team can update guides and product content safely, without touching code or layout

The outcome

The rebuilt site replaces the page-builder platform in summer 2026 on hosting we manage, monitor, and back up. Alongside the build, we run the company’s monthly sales reporting and email infrastructure, and SEO picks up on the new platform after launch.
